National Railway (NS) Train Card
What is the program?
The National Railway (NS) Train Card benefit provides employees with an NS travel card that can be used to check in and check out on the Dutch rail network. The card functions like a credit card and allows employees to travel by train without paying upfront.
Who is the provider?
Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS – Dutch National Railways) is the provider of the train card and rail services.

The NS Train Card allows employees to:
- Travel on the Dutch rail network using a personal NS card
- Check in and check out easily for business-related travel
- Avoid out-of-pocket expenses for work-related train journeys

All employees are eligible for this benefit.
How do I enroll?
Employees can request the card at any time, including on their first day of employment.
To request an NS Train Card:
- Open a Sofi ticket and request the NS card
- The Benefits Team will place the order through the NS online portal on behalf of the employee
- The card will be sent directly to the office
