What is the program?
A supplementary healthcare offering for employees in Belgium on local payroll.
Who is the insurance carrier?
DKV is the insurance carrier for the healthcare plan in Belgium.

Insured risks: illness, accident and childbirth
General principles:
- Medical costs which have a curative, diagnostic or palliative character
- Medically necessary costs (no esthetical interventions)
- Medical performances delivered by an officially recognized practitioner
- Medical performances which have been sufficiently tested on a therapeutic level
- Hospitalization expenses
- One-day-clinic
- Outpatient medical expenses during the pre- and post hospitalization period
- Outpatient medical expenses in case of a critical illness
Please be advised that enrolling into Mutuelle is absolutely necessary. DKV medical insurance is a supplementary insurance on top of the mutuelle. DKV will reimburse up to 100% for hospitalization in case mutuelle intervenes, otherwise this is limited to only 50% of the costs. You need a mutuelle to get the benefit of the full cover. How do I enroll?
You will receive an email from the Benefits team shortly after joining that will outline important action items and forms for you to fill in. You will have 2 weeks to complete the forms and return them to emeabenefits@dowjones.com .
Can I change my enrollment?
If you experience a life event during the year, like getting married or having a baby, you must notify us within 31 days to enroll your new dependent.
Is there a cost to my medical plan?
Dow Jones covers the cost of employees but dependents can be covered at the cost of employees. Addition of dependents must be notified to the insurer within 2 months of starting employment or within 2 months of birth – otherwise a 13 month waiting period.
