Pension Overview for Spain
Scheme Overview
The two policies are offered depending upon the business the employee works for:
- Factiva Business Information (Spain) S.L. has a mixed Insured Qualified Pension Scheme (PPSE): DC plan plus an additional lump sum in case of death and permanent disability. Since 2022. As the PPSE has an annual contribution limit of €10.000, a Top Up Plan (a group life insurance policy) has been implemented.
- DowJones & Company Inc: DC Plan, financed with Unit Linked group life insurance policy.

- Factiva Business Information Nationale-Nederlanden Vida Compañía de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A.E.
- Dow Jones & Company Inc AEGON.
Eligibility
Factiva Business Information (Spain) S.L.: All employees can join the plan however if employees leave before one years’ service they forfeit their pension contributions.
Dow Jones & Company Inc: All employees can join the plan after completing 1 month’s service.
Note : New joiners need to opt into the plan as enrollment is not automatic. You will receive an email from Benefit Hub after completing 1 month’s service with instructions on how to opt into the pension plan.
Contribution Rates
Factiva Business Information (Spain) S.L.:
The contributions will be made by the Company and, where appropriate, by the Members, within the legal limits as established in these Rules, the contribution rates are as follows:
- Employee 0%, Employer 2%
- Employee 1%, Employer 3%
- Employee 2%, Employer 4%
- Employee 3%, Employer 5%
Pensionable Salary is defined as annual gross fixed salary at January 1st each year.
Dow Jones & Company Inc: the contribution rates are as follows:
- Employee 0%, Employer 5%
Pensionable Salary is defined as annual gross fixed salary.
