What is the program?
A group private dental plan offered to employees on the UK payroll.
Who is the insurance carrier?
BUPA is the carrier of the dental plan.
Key program benefits – Dental :
You can elect coverage as a single individual, single parent, a couple or a family. Your spouse and your children are eligible to participate on the plan.
Dental Insurance provides you with cover towards the cost of both routine dental treatment, such as check-ups and a scale and polish, and emergency treatment. When you take out Dental Insurance, you get;
- A choice of either NHS or private dentist – no need to change from your current dentist.
- 20% off general treatment when you visit one of the Bupa Dental centers. Click here to find a center near you using the consultant finder search
- No pre-joining checks – start claiming straight away
- Unlimited cover for Oral Cancer with Bupa Cancer Promise (UK only).
- Note: Exclusions apply* e.g. you’re not covered for the first six months of membership
- A number of different levels of cover so you can decide which level of cover is best for you. Claims will be reimbursed up to set limits for the different treatment items
- The ability to claim for emergency treatment overseas if you obtain a receipt (in English) and submit your claim in the usual way.
How do I enroll?
You will log onto the BenefitHub and set up your username and password. You will enroll in your healthcare plan directly on the benefits admin portal (BenefitHub). Any changes that you look to make in the future will also be processed on the BenefitsHub.
When can I enroll ?
Shortly after you join the company , you will receive an email from BenefitsHub (our benefits administration portal) informing you about the new joiners window that will be 35 days in between which you can enroll into the PMI plan. In case you miss this opportunity you will only be able to enroll into the PMI during the annual enrollment window that is in September each year.
Can I change my enrollment?
If you experience a qualified life event during the year, you may enroll outside of the annual enrollment window. The annual enrollment window traditionally opens in September.
Is there a cost to my dental plan?
The cost of any voluntary coverage will be deducted from your salary via salary sacrifice whereby you reduce your taxable pay to receive the benefit and are taxed on the full cost of cover. You will however save on National Insurance.
