How do I enroll in benefits?

You will receive an email from the Benefits team shortly after joining that will outline important action items and forms for you to fill in. You will have 2 weeks to complete the forms and return them to dowjones@news.co.uk. 

You will have access to the following benefits: Pension , life and disability cover through Autora. Your supplementary healthcare will be with DKV.

When are new hires eligible for health and welfare benefits?

You are eligible for health and welfare benefits soon after you join the company coverage for however will begin from the 1st of the following month post joining the company.

Is there a cost to my healthcare?

Dow Jones covers the cost of employees but dependents can be covered at the cost of employees. Addition of dependents must be notified to the insurer within 2 months of starting employment or within 2 months of birth – otherwise a 13 month waiting period.

What about enrolling in medical coverage?

You will have to complete and return the enrollment form for enrollment into the DKV supplementary healthcare plan and your cover will begin from the 1st of the following month after you return the forms.

Please be advised that enrolling into Mutuelle is absolutely necessary. DKV medical insurance is a supplementary insurance on top of the mutuelle. DKV will reimburse up to 100% for hospitalization in case mutuelle intervenes, otherwise this is limited to only 50% of the costs. You need a mutuelle to get the benefit of the full cover. When am I eligible for pension?

You are eligible for the pension plan right after you join but the cover does not begin until the 1st of the following month after you return the completed form. Your deductions will begin soon after you have been successfully enrolled into the Authora pensions plan.
